How to Adopt a Book
Choose a Book
FOR 1 ADOPTION - RS. 5000/-
STEPS
- Choose a book(s) from our catalogue or from a rare list of books enlisted in the website.
- You could also search for a book of your choice.
- Register your choice and you will be prompted to pay.
Pay and
Register

- Pay using a preferred payment method.
- Payment confirmation and the adoption acknowledgement will be sent to you via email.
Save the book
STEPS
- The adopted book will be digitised and conserved using the latest technology.
- Your name will be added to the online catalogue which can be viewed by anyone around the world.
BENEFITS OF ADOPTING A BOOK
- By adopting a book you contribute your mite to digitising the book and physically conserving it using internationally accepted methods such as de-acidifying and strengthening it using the Japanese tissue paper. The book will be enclosed in a non-acidic paper jacket.
- Financial contributions are exempt from income tax under section 80G of the IT Act. RMRL’s annual report will acknowledge your contribution.

Roja Muthiah Library (RMRL) has embarked on a remarkable journey to create the Tamil Knowledge Campus—a vibrant space dedicated to research, knowledge building, and showcasing Tamil culture and civilization.
Your contribution will enable RMRL to realise its expansion plan. In the first phase, the existing building will be modernised with state-of-the-art research facilities and an enhanced reference service capable of accommodating large number of researchers.
As part of the expansion plan RMRL will establish dedicated workshops and research labs for students and independent researchers. The second phase of the development will witness the creation of a new public engagement space featuring a modern auditorium, contemporary classrooms, an amphitheatre, and two exhibition halls. RMRL also plans to setup a museum for print culture and an Indus Interpretation Centre. Residential facilities are also planned for visiting scholars to enhance the research environment for visiting scholars.
Other Areas of Support
RMRL is working in several areas that need your support. You can donate books from your collection to the library. You may also extend financial support to RMRL’s activities such as organising exhibitions, seminars, lectures, preserving material and purchasing equipment.
